Synopsis:
Hakushu Kitahara is a poet of genius who leads a life of carefree abandonment. He often drinks excessively and has relationships with married women. Meanwhile, Kosaku Yamada is a hard-working musician. Miekichi Suzuki, who runs a children’s literature magazine, asked them to write children’s songs. Even though the two men have totally different personalities and fight frequently, they are able to create many songs to cheer up the children. They were then ordered to write a war song to send children to the battlefield.
