Synopsis:
Until 1989, the village of Dafen in Shenzhen province, China, was little larger than a hamlet. Now it has more than 10,000 inhabitants, including hundreds of peasants who have been converted into painters. In studios, apartments and even on the streets, Dafen painters produce thousands of replicas of world-famous Western paintings. A commission for 200 Van Goghs does not shock anyone.
