Synopsis:

After years of trouble in Tokyo, Daisuke returns to his parents’ home, accompanied by his girlfriend Hisako. Their goal is to launch their latest screwed-up affair: Akajiru, a miracle energy drink (which even heals constipation!), but with a horrible taste. In addition, the name strongly recalls the green drink Aojiru, very famous in Japan – except that Akajiru is, as its name suggests, red (in Japanese, akai means red, and ao means green in some contexts). Our two losers having made white cabbage with Akajiru in Tokyo, they plan to use Daisuke’s relationships to launch the product in his native region. However, not really of the loquacious or very perceptive kind, and not necessarily appreciated by his former classmates, the task looks rather arduous for Daisuke.
