BIOGRAPHY: Michelle Yeoh is a Malaysian actress and producer. In 1977, at the age of 15, her father sent her to boarding school in London, where she trained as a ballerina at the prestigious Royal Ballet School and took acting classes. A back injury forced her to abandon her passion and find another path. In 1983, back in Malaysia, she won the title of Miss Malaysia and was then noticed by the billionaire businessman Dickson Poon, who made her shoot an ad for his watches in Hong Kong with the star Jackie Chan. In 1984, he did it again by making her shoot her first small role in The Owl and Bumbo. She then discovered the professional world of martial arts cinema and began intensive training in the best kung fu schools. From the end of the 1990s, she had great international success, playing a James Bond girl in Tomorrow Never Dies before moving on to Crouching Tiger, Memoirs of a Geisha, Crazy Rich Asians, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Everything Everywhere All at Once in 2022. In 2023, she received the award for Best Actress in a Comedy for her role in Everything Everywhere All At Once at the 80th Golden Globes.
